Long Goodbye

...And I'm back.

The ferret I wished a long live, Taru, has recently passed away in April, in the midst of quake and disaster shock. He became thinner and weaker every day, still his will for living persisted. He used to curled up just next to me, feeling my body temperature and napped.

About 5.5 years long life.

R.I.P.

When Taru was still well and after Nene had gone, I met two ferrets at my nearby pet store. Both were not tamed and bit human. But I was interested one of them, whitish "cinnamon" girl from New Zealand. Her legs and tail were cinnamon brown, and on her back there was a brush of brown fur.

She eventually came to my home as new partner of Taru, and they got very well. Named Nana. No relation of Japanese word of "7".

Recently in Japan, a book called "The ferret" was published (in Japanese). In the book, photos were collected from ferret owners. Among the pics I've sent, this was selected.

On purchase, Nana destroyed her paper box she was in  just within 10 minutes. What a girl ! She bit me hard first but soon understood, licked me instead of biting. Animals sometimes cannot distinguish the two.

Anyway, now Nana is alone in her cage, still 2.5 yo.
