The Tokyo Marathon, Tokyo's first large scale city marathon, will be held for the first time on February 18, 2007. It is not to be confused with the Tokyo International Women's Marathon held in autumn.
The race is scheduled to start shortly after 9am at the Metropolitan Government building in Shinjuku and will end at the Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba. The attractively designed route passes several of Tokyo's main tourist spots, including the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Asakusa and Ginza:
I'm not a good fan of marathon. Though, it's astonishing the top guy has run this course only 2 hours and 6 min. Now realised it's only I hadn't have any geographic knowledge of place where marathon was held before.
Plus, Tokyo Governer Shinichiro Ishihara is notorious for some portion of ppl, me and my mother were talking "Maybe he wanted to be outstanding, such as shooting a start pistol".
