At Toyama City Hall, there is an observation platform you can see Mt. Tate and sorrounding mountains--one of the the North Alps of Japan--very well on sunny days.
I happened to miss the bus near here in late December, so decided to change a plan.
This photo cannot capture all the beauty of mountains, they were absolutely holy and serene. To go to foot of these mountains, in the winter, one hour ride in a local train. You can enjoy skiiing as well.
