The Japanese say "Happy new year" the first thing they meet their friends or companies after New Year's Day. Therefore, it can be quite late, such as 15th of Jan.
I didn't notice it was our custom until I heard above thing on English radio programme. Sure it was.
Wanted to go to shrine to do some prayer, still failed to be there.
